Discovery Mk1 Petrol Engine Upgrades

Quite frankly these vehicles are becoming a little long in the tooth. With poor resale value, JE would not recommend extensive engine performance tuning on the Mk 1 Discovery.

If you are really keen, we can offer the following options:

Petrol V8 Packages
1) 'SPORT' Cylinder Heads & Manifolds. Comprises Gas Flowed heads with balanced combustion chambers, fitted with large JE inlet & exhaust valves, & 'high flow' shaped seats, together with gas flowed inlet manifold & larger air horns (includes all gaskets). Delivers 12 - 14 bhp gain.

2) JE 4.6 Litre ' Short engine ' conversion comprising:
• Specially machined pistons
• All parts lightened, balanced & blueprinted to competition tolerances
• Reprogrammed engine ECU

This conversion delivers a power output of 220 bhp & 380 Nm (280 Lb.ft) torque Fitted & Tested- 4.6 Litre short engine (MKII V8)- £3,950.00 exch.

3) JE 4.6 Litre 'SPORT'. Full engine conversion comprising:
• 4.6L short engine (as (2) above)
• Sport cylinder heads & intake system (as (1) above)
• A fully re-programmed engine ECU

This conversion delivers a power output of 235 bhp & 400 Nm (295 Lb.ft) torque Fitted & Tested- 4.6 Litre Sport engine (MKII V8)- £5,200.00 exch.
