Discovery II Diesel Engine Upgrades
JE Diesel performance tunes deliver power & acceleration gains as you'd expect, but we also concentrate on response & flexibility for more relaxed motoring. The real benefits come at higher speed where the standard car needs most of its available power just to maintain speed, leaving little surplus for acceleration. So at higher speed the surplus power available with JE Diesel tunes can be more than doubled. Also, wishing to be environmentally responsible, JE give specific attention to smoke emissions & MOT test compliance. All of our Diesel tunes deliver the following enhancements & features
• Brisker & safer acceleration from junctions with Torque available from lower engine speed
• Turbo lag reduced throughout the speed range for crisper manoeuvring
• Safer overtaking
• Much improved ability to maintain speed on inclines in higher gears
• Less need to change down gear to manoeuvre giving more relaxed motoring
• Better towing performance
• Fuel economy little worse overall (can even be better due to less gearchanging on the move)

Stage 1. A 'remapped' tune chip lifts performance by 25% to 170 bhp and 375 Nm (277 lbf.ft) torque.
With around 3 sec. reduction in 0-60mph time & reduced turbo lag, this well rounded tune provides effortless cruising & easier overtaking.

Stage 2. Performance is totally transformed with a remapped tune chip plus a larger intercooler and itg filter delivering some 195bhp and 420 Nm (310 lbf.ft) torque. With a 4 second reduction in 0-60mph time, this remarkable conversion yields performance that beats the standard V8 petrol models and endows the Discovery with genuinely sporting character.
