Freelander Petrol Engine Upgrades
Freelander 1.8 & 2.5 V6 Petrol 'Sports Induction & Exhaust' Package.
Fitting the itg 'Maxogen' high performance induction kit and filter system will add 11 bhp to the 1.8 4-cylinder engine, with smoother running and flatter torque curve.
A complete Induction and exhaust system upgrade conversion adds 15-20 bhp to give over 130 bhp for the 1.8, and over 195bhp for the V6, providing crisper response & livelier performance.

Freelander 1.8 K series cylinder head conversion.
In addition to the above, and only available for the 1.8 litre 4-cylinder K series engine, we can fit a gas-flowed cylinder head. This is carefully designed and prepared to work with the induction system and improved exhaust systems. When fitted together with the itg induction system and a gas flowed exhaust manifold we achieve 138 bhp and 185 Nm (137 lbf.ft), if the big bore exhaust is also fitted, a further 5 bhp is added, giving 143 bhp and 190 Nm (140 lbf.ft).
