The Webmaster is slaving away on the new website, a masterpiece of creative genius (he says) so he has had little time to devote to this site. Not much has happened, anyway! The "Zulu" will be presented at Wembley Stadium at the 'Best of British Sport' lunch on December 12th. JE will have a table for ten guests so if you would like to join us..........order a "Zulu" !!! Nico GIBON has been poached by Team Toyota for the 2009 Dakar (in Argentina and Chile) but will be back in the JE TG Bowler for the European Bajas, Paris 24hr, and North African Raids. Congratulations, of course, to Barack Obama for winning the F1 World Championship and Lewis Hamilton for becoming US President-elect!
... . . . . . . . . . . . . As the immortal "CJ" would say:
."We didn't get where we are today by resting on laurels"

...St.Petersburg to Beijing Transorientale Rally-Raid 2008
Nico and Antoine GIBON finished in a magnificent 2nd place overall in this the most gruelling and spectacular rally-raid yet organised. After 30 hours of the most difficult and varied 15 Special Stages the JE Powered Bowler had just 10minutes advantage over the 3rd placed car.

Restoration and Special Vehicles
The current project, a ground-up restoration and fully bespoke special build based on a 1994 LSE Vogue, for a customer in Dubai, is ready for final road-testing. If you are considering such a project please speak to Jonathan Douglas at JE in the first instance.
. . . .
We have another, with Royal pedigree, well under way, which, of course, will be restored to totally original condition. So, if you are considering a premium quality restoration, it might be advisable to get in touch with JE rather than Messrs Bodgit and Scarper!

Recognise the rather tired Classic pictured above?? It gets worse before it gets better!
. . . .
That's better! "YYR" on it's way back to former glory:(below) and, yes, it IS the original chassis frame, masterfully restored by Russell at Alastair Naylor's "Chassis Build Ltd" By Appointment!!

Paintwork now considerably better than when HRH took delivery! Again, the body shell is 90% original, only the required minimum amount of new metal has been fabricated and let in, mainly the 'goal post' and scuttle sections. Many thanks to XK Engineering.
What other restoration company can give you this level of expertise?

As for "Special Vehicles" JE have a reputation for having designed and constructed some of the most spectacular high performance Land Rover products ever. Confidentiality agreements have precluded our mentioning most of these but you may be assured that if it is feasibly possible (and even it is supposed not to be!) JE will have done it. The current JE "ZULU" entails fitting an upgraded supercharged AJV8 engine and auto gearbox into a brand new Defender 110. Mouth-watering? We think so. Have a look at Special Vehicles section of the "Restoration and Special Vehicles" page and speak to Jonathan (aka Captain Mainwaring) he likes a challenge (or so he says!)

In an idle moment, Colin stuck up a somewhat amateurish video on YouTube! It is a recent build on a 4.6 for a German Morgan Plus Eight glowing it's exhaust headers merrily on the dyno. Have a look if you have nothing better to do :)
That's it for now! Happy Land Rovering !
