JE ‘Liberator’ 4.4 litre AJV8

The wolf in sheep’s clothing in the JE model range! The JE Liberator is an up-to-the-minute re-interpretation of the late-lamented Defender V8 using the JE-built 4.4 litre JLR 32-valve AJV8 engine. With its 320 bhp and 422 Nm of torque at 4500 rpm (370 Nm at 1500 rpm!) the Liberator is powerful yet docile, on-road or off. Equally at home trundling round town, towing heavy trailers or out-pacing normal traffic on cross-country routes and motorways, put it in the rough stuff and the Liberator’s torque really comes into its own. While not having the ultimate brutal power of the Zulu, the Liberator is more than capable of denting a few hot-hatch egos (while taking Granny shopping!) A great JE all-rounder.
