JE have top quality dynamometer facilities combined with the expertise and staff to maximise this resource. Dynamometer cells
Currently there are 2 fully computer controlled cells,
And 2 manually operated cells (very quickly upgraded if needed).

Specification of the two cells are as follows:

Cell 1: Froude FO201 hydraulic, 600kW, 1235Nm, 10,000rpm.
Cell 2: Schenk W230 eddy current dynamometer, 250kW, 600Nm, 8,000rpm.

Cell dimensions: 4260mm long, 4500mm wide, 2680mm high.


Control System:
CP Cadet 12 with fully programmable automatic control of dyno speed, throttle and safety backup systems. Programmable test cycles (999 stages per cycle) and self monitoring allowing 24 hour running.

8 Channel engine protection system.
16 bit monitoring of; torque, throttle, speed, fuel flow, 24 thermocouples, 8 PRTS, 10 pressure, 8 voltages, and 16 digital inputs.
24 digital outputs for engine control.
Full data logging and analysis.
Data saved to disc can be transmitted or hard copies printed.

Capable of:
ASAP3 ECU interfacing and auto calibration system.
CAN analysis and development tools
In cylinder pressure analysis.
Horiba exhaust combustion mixture analysis.

Ventilation and Exhaust:
Up to four cell air changes per minute, power ventilation both incoming and outgoing air, adjustable pressure balancing and fire protection system.

Cell air temperature control.
Exhaust back pressure control.


Cooling:
External cooling tower and 9,000 litre water sump for stable temperature control.

Heat exchangers for oil, engine coolant and intercooler coolant.
Automated control of flow to control temperatures within selected range.
Auxiliary air/coolant heat exchangers (min. 10 kW per degree Celsius above ambient)

Fuels:
Any liquid fuel, certification fuel, including diesels.
LPG and other gaseous fuels.
CP FMS 1000 and 400 gravimetric liquid fuel flow measurement.

Quality Control:
ISO9001
Regular Dyno recalibration.
Annual weight calibration.
Test engine to check dynamic operations.

Contingency Plan / Support:
Full CP back-up on testbed control systems
Full dynamometer services backup on all dyno's

Diagnostics:
