Many thanks for the delivery of our Defender. The quality of workmanship is superb and the difference in the vehicle with stage 2 tuning , exhaust and automatic transmission is amazing. I have taken the vehicle back to my local Land Rover dealership to let the salesteam have a test drive now the works are complete and they are all amazed at the difference in driveability.Can you thank all of your team for such a great job?

Dear all
Well two great transformations my Sport TDV8 and my wife's
Discovery TDV6.The sport has been transformed from an animal into a
beast,it is easier and quicker to drive. The main thing is I have got
better performance than a supercharger with the benefit of over double
the mpg. On my return journey home I averaged 27.3 mpg.
Now to the Discovery, the journey home saw an average mpg.
of 29.8 at high motorway speeds again a vast improvement.
The wife says it is now a lot easier to drive with now not having to
think twice about overtaking, just go for it.

Thank you for remapping my RR Sport. My compliments, the tune is superb. The car is so much better and fun to drive after the update.
It much more comfortable to drive, it feels very well balanced - and the mileage on the last tank of diesel is an impressive 28.5 mpg - and that is when not driving extremely light-footed....

Message: Late last year I purchased the upgrade chip/filter/intercooler. — Impressed with the first part but just got round to fitting the intercooler. — Very pleased — as a farmer I am forever towing or carrying materials (!) — and the power increase is very welcome. When using the vehicle as a car the improvement is vast. — I can now keep up with the traffic on motorways — even here in France!

As promised here is the email as we have now returned home from our holidays, reporting back on the upgrade you did on our Discovery 2 in April.
Well what can we say? Everything you promised us plus more has turned our Discovery into such a fantastic Land Rover, doubt if we will ever want to sell her! As you know the main purpose of this upgrade was to improve all the towing we do with our caravan and gosh has it done this. Towing is now such a pleasure and we find we are in 5th gear so much more with the caravan on the back. This is really noticeable on hills we know and have struggled up in the past.
Our biggest concern was how many speeding fines we had collected on this trip, as it is such a job to hold her back and keep within the speed limits now! Thankfully none plus we had the added bonus that our MPG has improved!
Our grateful thanks to you and your team for doing such an excellent job and also for the loan of a car.

Just a quick note to thank you all so much for the great service I received on Friday when I came to get my Defender re-mapped. The difference is incredible and it runs SO much better than when it had the******* *********** box strapped on, very interesting to hear about all the problems the diagnostics machine brought up with that!!!! The throttle response is amazing and the power is delivered over a much wider spread of the rev range making it much easier to drive and live with on an every day basis.
The highlight was obviously looking around the workshop and having a ride in the Range Rover Sport Supercharged Stage 1. That noise will stay with me for ever!
I probably should have had a run in the Defender Demo as my next port of call will be the suspension.
Once again many thanks for your help on Friday and genuinely nice to meet so many enthusiastic people!

I am pleased with the exhaust. Ideally I would have liked it to be a bit louder but it will do! The gentleman that fitted it for me (?Mr Isherwood?) was extremely polite, helpful and informative, and did a superb and courteous job of wrapping up the old exhaust and putting it in the car for me.
I enjoyed seeing your machine shops and your customer service was superb. I hope your teeth feel better!

Just wanted to say thanks for the upgrade to the Defender. I drove it straight back from Coventry to the Scottish Borders yesterday, and it is a revelation! It’s not just the increased power and acceleration, but the throttle response is instant and makes it a real pleasure to drive, especially on the windy A roads where it really makes a difference. It’s as if you’ve fitted a new and improved engine in there! I confess I was using the extra power a bit (as you do!) but even so, the fuel economy is still (relatively speaking) very good.
I know yours isn’t the cheapest upgrade on the market, but having had a cheaper upgrade on my Disco TD5 in the past, I would definitely say you get what you pay for. Many thanks for the work and the friendly customer service, keep up the good work.

Hi John!
I just want to say I’m VERY pleased with the Stage II kit.
It’s almost too good to be true. My car is now running very “easy” and the throttle response is quick and direct.
Combined with my large wheels it’s now like driving an “ordinary” car. Cruising at 110— 120 Km/h is relaxed with lots of power in reserve.
Even the fuel consumption is improved, believe it or not.
The only negative effect I can see is sometime increased black smoke.
- And I have to be aware of speed controls...
So, thank you for making my Defender so much better, it was worth every penny!

I just wanted to send you a quick note to say thank you for the superb service I received. You were extremely helpful and managed to minimise the hassle involved of getting the Landrover 200 miles to you for the work to be done.
As far as the upgrade itself goes - it is completely transformed. It makes the difference between it being driveable at normal traffic speeds and not quite managing to keep up.

I write further to my visit to JE Engineering yesterday.
It seems less and less common to receive good service but I must say you excelled. Not only was I not kept waiting for the drive in your demonstrator but you managed to fit my car in for conversion there and then.
And what a difference it has made. Instead of chugging along like a tractor it now races off the line more like a GTi. In fact it is probably quicker than most GTis. The difference is astonishing. This is the car that should come out of the gates of Solihull.
The addition of the quad exhausts now makes it look the car it should as well.

I said I would let you know how I got on with last week’s stage 1 & Disco transfer gear conversion; I had a
very relaxing 350 mile journey home on Friday and cruised effortlessly at 80 all the way. When I got back
I made my wife go for a drive — she won’t drive the Defender as she says it’s underpowered and a
nightmare to overtake in. She came back after 20 minutes with a grin on her face and said it was great.
She drives an Impreza turbo, so that puts things in context! I only wish that I could have afforded a stage
2, but you can’t have everything.
I have now driven about 700 miles in it, and am convinced it was the right thing to do.

Subject: Feedback on stage two tune
To all at J E
I had a stage two tune on my Defender 90 (**02***) a couple of weeks ago, and wanted to say a few words .... but in the end I could only think of two ; “B****y Amazing”
Thank you for transforming a good car into something very very good
